Technical Assistance
The Community Based Asset Deelopment Program (CBAD) is an effort designed to
build community capactiy utilizing a strength-based model of community development.
Tailored traning and technical assitance is provided to the leadership of PACE grantees
and other community organizations using the Capacity Building and Assets Development method
(Kretzman and McKnight, 1993). Some of the topics addressed during these sessions are
administartion of management, board development, financial management, strategic planning,
community outreach and building leadership capacity.
Master Consultants Series
Additionally PACE, in partnership with the Bayer Center for Non-Profit Development,
operates the Master Consultatns program. This effort is designed to build a cadre of
consultants from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds to provide technical assistance
and training in the area of organizational development. These individuals are
currently providing services to PACE grantees and other fledgling community-based
organizations within the African American and disadvadvantaged community.

Executive Coaching
Executive coaching is a type of individually customized consulting service that is delivered to the Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) or Senior Management of a nonprofit organization. It focuses on the role and/or role functions of the
executive and the manner in which he/she leads the organization. This process is designed to align management talent
with organizational strategies and intended outcomes. The intended result of this effort will be to expand both the
individual’s and the organization’s capacities.
